3 Ways to Maximize Your Facebook Exposure
Are you taking advantage of Facebook’s enhancements to its Timeline Business Pages? If not, it’s safe to say you are missing out on new customers. With more than 800 million monthly active users on Facebook alone, you don’t have to spend a ton of time to get maximum benefit and exposure. Here are three ways you can maximize this free marketing tool to grow your business.
1) About Section. while you can’t include discounts or calls to action on your cover photos, the About Section located right under your cover photo can be easily updated:
Depending on whether you’re a brick and mortar store or just have a virtual location, you can choose to highlight physical location, phone number or drive people to your website. Remember, this is prime real estate for your business. And you can feel free to update to compliment any specials, discounts or call outs you choose.
2) Apps Section. This is a great place to highlight your pictures, blog, events or anything else to encourage fan engagement and participation. While you can’t change where the picture app is located (top row, left side) you can make changes to where your other aps are positioned.
The top row is the most visible, so have your three best apps fill out the rest of that row. You can swap places with other apps by hovering your mouse on the actual app, clicking on the pencil icon located in the upper right hand corner to activate the dropdown menu, like the picture indicates.
More customizations are available including the app picture under your Managing Page section and clicking on the Edit Settings. You can also add apps—like a Welcome and Contact—which you can customize for free or for a small fee.
3) Highlight a Post. A third way to get your customer’s attention is to highlight a post. In our case, it’s a 25% off any of our product opportunity. Simply hover your mouse in the upper right hand corner of the post to get a Edit or Remove your post. For more exposure, you can pin a post to the top of your page for seven days, change dates, locations, etc.
